Moctezuma
Título
Moctezuma
Descripción
Cortez, in this interview with the Cacique, gave him to understand that he had been sent by the great Emperor of the East to destroy oppression, and put an end to tyranny in that part of the world. This explanation encouraged the Cacique to break forth into bitter complaints against the pride and injustice of Montezuma, whom he denominated a haughty and cruel tyrant, whose yoke had long been insupportable not only to him, but to all his other vassals
